Human rights: Working conditions are strictly monitored during production, and the use of child labor and discrimination are prohibited.
Environment: The certification mandates adherence to strict environmental standards, such as the protection of biodiversity and limits on chemical use.
Agriculture Biologique is the French term for organic farming—a sustainable production method that prioritizes environmental health, biodiversity, and animal welfare. It relies on natural processes and inputs while strictly prohibiting synthetic chemicals, synthetic pesticides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Key principles:
No synthetic substances: Prohibits the use of synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones, and antibiotics.
Natural methods: Favors crop rotation, green manure, composting, and biological pest control (using natural predators) to maintain natural soil fertility and manage pests.
Soil and environmental health: Focuses on building healthy soil to naturally produce sustainable yields. It protects water, air, and natural resources.
